HIP Stick

(Horizontal Indicator of the Pitch)

Add points to your batting average without changing your swing by getting better pitches to hit.

The HIP Stick (patent pending) is a training device for players in softball and baseball. HIP is an acronym for Horizontal Indicator of the Pitch. It comes in three versions, the HIP Stick, the HIP Stick v2, and the HIP Stick vP. The HIP Stick and HIP Stick v2 are for batters to improve their pitch selection discipline by helping them learn how to judge the horizontal plane of the strike zone.  The vP version of the Stick is a training device for pitchers to improve their pitch location command on the horizontal plane of the strike zone by allowing them to visualize and aim for the desired pitch location targets.

All three Sticks are identical in size, shape, composition, and color.  They are made of wood and/or similar material, and colored green, yellow, and red.  They differ only in the arrangement and/or layout of the colored areas on the Stick.  All Sticks are placed on the ground near home plate for primary and/or secondary visual feedback about the horizontal location of the pitch.  DETAILS
